Electroplating (also known as electrodeposition or surface coating) is an electrochemical process in which a uniform metal layer is deliberately deposited onto conductive surfaces. Depending on the requirements, this coating protects, reinforces, or enhances the properties of the components. Commonly used metals include copper, tin, nickel, white bronze, silver, and gold.
